Cherry Drop Cookies
Ingredients For: Cherry Drop Cookies
1 stick (1/2 cup) salted butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
1-teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2-teaspoon salt
1/2-teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4-teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
1 1/2 cups chopped maraschino cherries
1 1/3 cup raisins
Instructions For: Cherry Drop Cookies
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg; set aside.
With an electric mixer cream the butter and sugars together set mixer on medium-high for 30 seconds.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Mix in vanilla extract, and flour mixture into butter mixture.
Stir in walnuts, cherries, and raisins.
Drop by tablespoons 2 inches apart onto un-greased cookie sheets.
Bake cherry drop cookies for 16-18 minutes or until lightly browned. Transfer cookies to cooling surface. Cherry Drop Cookies recipe makes about 4 Dz. cookies.
