Easy Cookie RecipeBaklava CookiesIngredients:
1 c. butter Syrup:
1 C. sugar Rolling Mixtures:
1 1/2 c. chopped fine, walnut (can use pecans) Directions: Heat oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease cookie sheet. Use mixer and make medium dough that will not stick to hands. Add the 1/2 c. juice first then gradually add a T. more at a time if necessary. Pinch off a clump of big fist clump of dough and roll out with your palms to form a big pencil shape about 1/2 inch wide. Use knife and cut 1 1/2 inch pieces, cut on an angle (you should have a 1 1/2 inch piece of dough with points...an irregular triangle shape. Bake cookies for 20 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned.While cookies are baking, boil syrup ingredients for 5 minutes. Let cookies cool slightly and dip in syrup (doesn't have to be hot) and roll each one in rolling mixture. Place on wire rack to cool.
