Hamentashen Cookies Jewish Recipe

Ingredients For: Hamentashen Cookies
Sift Together:
3 cups flour
1/2-cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
Mix together before adding to recipe for hamentashen cookies:
1-cup Crisco or margarine
2 egg yolks
1/2-teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup orange juice and some grated rind
Instructions For: Hamentashen Cookies
Blend Crisco into flour mixture, Mix well, add 2 egg yolks, mix and knead on floured board. Separate into 4 parts, roll out and cut into 2 inch circles and fill, then fold as in picture at top of this page.
Bake hamentashen cookies on a sheet pan using a baking liner .
Bake hamentashen cookies at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes, watch cookies when baking checking frequently until you get the feel for them. Hamentashen Cookies recipe will yield 60 cookies.
